LACO Condemns Attack on Leilon Munlui, Demands Inquiry and Enhanced Security Leimakhong, June 15: The Leimakhong Area Chiefs' Organisation (LACO) has strongly condemned the alleged attack on Leilon Munlui Village in Kangpokpi district that occurred at around 6:00 AM on June 15, leaving three youths seriously injured. In a statement issued on Monday, LACO alleged that cadres of NSCN/ZUF were responsible for the attack. The organization identified the injured as 15-year-old student Genlenmang Vaiphei, 18-year-old student Paogoulal, and 20-year-old internally displaced person Lunliandaw Vaiphei. All three victims were reportedly shifted to Imphal for medical treatment. LACO also expressed concern over reports that a crowd had gathered outside the hospital where the injured youths are being treated, raising fears about their safety and well-being.
