REPEATING HISTORY

"History repeat itself: the theory of coping with strangers."

The consensus lie in being a lion's tail or mouse's head! There has been an interesting chaos hovering around the name of being ingenuine or identity insistence about political platform "Zo United" and some termed it as false nomenclature. When it comes to nomenclature fanaticism, it is for sure the Eimis. Let's talk about the word "Zo". It is nothing but the people who came from the 'Rock or Cave' of the present China were came to be known as " Zo" and it has literal meaning like 'Father' or 'Jungle' in some dialects. Later, in the British era in India, there exist the word 'Kuki' when a Britisher asked a Bengali man who were they climbing in the hills of Cachar. The man replied they are "Cookie" which means carrying things in Bengali dialect as they were carrying a container known as 'Beng' in Thadou-Kuki. The word Kuki is given to a connotations who are minority, having no place to stay or property. Since then the existence became popular in north-east India. In 1917-19, there exist the Kuki rebellion. The diaries of many Britishers include the word Kukis. The fight was for freedom but not a movement of State Independence as they do not demand. It was during this time the Kukis can achieve statehood from the  Britishers. But this theory is not implicable now because India is not under the Britishers and India is a sovereign nation now. According to the United Nations chartered, no country can interfere in the internal matter of a sovereign country. Even if the British want to there is a limitations. After independence and in the History of India, the Zo movement headed by Mizo National Front was the one and only for the Chin-Kuki-Mizo-Zomi-Hmar community. There was a consensus of what to be called or nomenclature of the Zo in Mizo movement. During the meeting presence all the Zo tribes. If we are called Chin then it is a Burmese dialect and if we are called Kuki it is a Bengali dialect and have a connotation of being a pauper or no place to stay. So after deliberation, all agreed to the nomenclature Mizo and thus the movement started. In the aftermath and brink of Mizoram Accord, Mr. Tongkhojang Lunkim Khongsai Kuki led a group to called themselves as Kuki. He organized a meeting and convinced all not to be ceded with Mizoram and to be with Manipur was the consensus. Whereas this ethnic cleansing would have not utter at present. Later, he continued to draw attention from the UN and USA that Kuki was a minority and weaker section of society. There is beneficiaries and aid from their side. For instance, there is also a record of beneficiaries received in the name of Kuki as refugees during the Chief Ministership of Yangmaso Shaiza. If the Kukis who are fighting the British deems fit to be an independent country. Why not the Santhals who had Santhal rebelions, the Mundas of Bihar who had Munda revolt, etc. There are hundreds of communities who are fighting against the British in contemporary world. If all of them deems fit, then there would not have been an India. According to the UN, India is a sovereign country and no external can interfere in its internal matter according to the UN Chartered. The time of British who can give Independence to Kuki has gone because no matter the Kuki rebellion is in the British Museum, the British cannot interefere without barrier. According to the history of India's after Independence, there is the Mizo movement of the Chin-Kuki-Mizo-Zomi-Hmar community. There is slightly the possibility of history repeat itself. I know we are familiar with stranger than relative. We buy things from stranger store than in our community store. We cut hair in Mayang saloon than in local saloon owned by us. Now, we reaped as we sow among the stranger. If we don't realize till this high trying times, we are made for doomed by ourselves. If we all are united and fight the good fight thereby inflicting the physical statement and out of control from both the State Government and Central Government, then there is a dew that turned oceans for the Kuki-Zo under the assignment of Zo United...Name is not important, if we are one, we better be called monkey or dog is not a concern!

MOONLIGHT IN ZALENGAM : A KUKI BEAUTIFUL LADY

Chapter 1 - A Girl Named Ahsi Kim Writer- GaryThangboi Haokip The first rays of dawn stretched over the misty hills and spilled through the windows of Ahsi Kim's small home. She awoke as the morning cockerels crowed their greeting to the new day. Though exhausted from another restless night, Ahsi rose without complaint and set about her morning chores. Outside, dewdrops dotted blades of grass like miniature jewels. Ahsi breathed in the fresh scent of the earth, allowing nature's quiet beauty to soothe her tired mind, if only for a moment. Her eyes drifted to the neighbouring homes nestled together up the sloping village road, smoke already rising from kitchen fires. In the distance, fuzzy outlines of the tallest hills blurred into the pale sky. This tranquil landscape had been Ahsi's whole world for as long as she could remember. Nestled deep in the rugged Kuki hills, the tight-knit community of Zalengam carried on as it always had, undisturbed by the changes sweepin...
